The Climacteric Society has conducted a study of 8,000 women aged between 40 and 59, living in cities in 11 Latin American countries. The study showed that, of the total Latinas who had not had sex in the past 12 months, 7 out of 10 (68.2%) were married; the rest were separated (22%), widowed (4.3%), living with their partner (3.3%) or remained single (2.3%).
